The present invention provides a composition for enhancing non-biological stress resistance, comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding an Arabidopsis thaliana cytosol proteotoxic stress induced RING protein 1 (AtCIRP1) of a plant. According to the present invention, the composition of the present invention is involved in resistance to non-biological stress of a plant such as protein toxicity, salt and oxidative stress, etc. (according to an embodiment, protein toxicity, salt and oxidative stress). Transgenic plant cells and plant of the present invention show remarkable resistance to the non-biological stress, thereby being able to be effectively used as a new functional crop regardless of the climate or environment of cultivation areas.
