<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid battery adopting a light-weighted grid as well as having high general properties including an engine starting performance. <P>SOLUTION: This lead-acid battery has a positive electrode and a negative electrode filled by an active material mainly comprised of lead on an intermediate skeleton of a grid comprised of lead alloy and formed by at least upper frame skeleton parts and mesh-form intermediate skeletons. A cross section of the intermediate skeleton of the positive electrode is from 0.585 to 0.825 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, and weight per a unit area of paper-like part which is adhered to the surface of at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode is 9 to 13 g per m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
