PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve printing quality while suppressing deterioration of productivity in printing to many kinds of base materials by discharge of aqueous ink.SOLUTION: An ink jet device comprises: a storage section which individually stores a plurality of mutually different candidate materials of coating liquids which are applied to base materials to form coat layers; a selection section which selects one or more object materials to be used for preparation of the coating liquid from among the plurality of candidate materials based on types of the base materials; a quantity acquisition section which acquires quantities to be used for the preparation of the coating liquid for each of the one or more object materials based on the types of the base materials; a mixing section which prepares the coating liquid; a supply section which supplies the one or more object materials from the storage section to the mixing section, respectively according to the respective quantities acquired by the quantity acquisition section; a coating section which applies the coating liquid to the base material; and an ink jet head which discharges ink to the base materials to which the coating liquid is applied. In the ink jet device, the mixing section mixes the one or more object materials supplied from the supply section with an aqueous medium to prepare the coating liquid. |
