PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet and a heat insulating member for the helmet that can offer sufficient heat insulating performance without causing heat accumulation or stuffiness inside the helmet, and high comfortableness when worn under a high-temperature environment.SOLUTION: A helmet 1 including a hard cap body 2 covering a human head, a hammock 3 provided inside the cap body 2 contacting the human head, and a gap for attaching a shock absorption liner is provided with a thin sheet-like heat insulating member 5 covering a predetermined area of the hammock 3 for insulating heat without attaching the shock absorption liner. A first gap 26 is formed between the heat insulating member 5 and the cap body 2, and a second gap 27 communicated with the first gap 26 is formed between the hammock 3 in the area other than the area covered by the heat insulating member 5 and the cap body 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
