A description is given of a new system for producing high-resolution Magnetic Resonance (MR) images from the data measured by the machine. With respect to the system in use at the present time, said system allows reduction of the overall data measurement time and improvement of the image quality, with elimination of the Gibbs artifact. It is also possible to enlarge details of the image, with increased resolution with respect to the system in use at the present time, and without any additional cost. The system extrapolates, using a method "ad hoc", a function of the measured data. This makes it possible to reduce the number of data measured, giving consequent reduction of the overall measurement time. Furthermore, a special contrast measurement is used, which makes it possible to choose the image automatically from a group of possible candidates, consistent with the measured data. |
