A method of producing a formed, foamed plastics rigid extrusion which is machinable and has a density of the same order as timber, wherein an extrusion melt comprising at least 90 percent recycled PVC and about 1.3 percent endothermic blowing agent is die extruded and sized in a calibrating means where inward foaming takes place by the Celuka process. In a preferred method, the extrusion is coextruded with a virgin PVC skin. The invention also relates to a rigid, formed, foam extruded structural member of a window or door frame produced by the method.
