PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a double-sided pile woven fabric, capable of readily mutually differentiating touch feeling each given by pile of the inside and the outside. SOLUTION: While upper and lower two base woven fabrics 9 and 10 are woven by warp and weft double structure, these woven fabrics 9 and 10 are connected with mutually independent pile warp 5 for surface and pile warp 6 for rear and these pile warps 5 and 6 are cut at the intermediate positions and discarding wefts 7 and 8 are pulled out and pile warp 6 for the rear entangled with these discarding wefts 1 and 8 is reversed and thereby, the pile warp 6 is pulled out to each outside of two base woven fabrics 9 and 10 to provide the rear side pile. Parts 11 to 14 floating beyond plural base wefts 2 and 4 are formed in the pile warp 6 for rear. Thereby, it is facilitated to make the length of rear side pile longer than that of surface side pile.
