PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC generator that can transform high space factor coefficient to the other output improving factors to attain an high output. SOLUTION: A stator 2 included in this generator 1 sets a ratio of the internal diameter Di to an outside diameter Do to 76% or more and sets a slot accommodation space factor to 50% or more respectively. In the space factor of 50% or more, since an output peak exists in the particular value of the internal/external diameter ratio Di/Do of 7% or more, the space factor is increased and the internal/external diameter ratio is set to an adequate value to realize high output power.
