PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a play of each terminal metal fitting within a cavity to prevent slight sliding abrasion between the terminal metal fittings. SOLUTION: The bottom face of a cavity 11 is bendably formed with a lance 15 having a protrusion 16, while the bottom face of a connection part 22 of a female terminal metal fitting 21 is formed with an opening 27 allowing insertion of the protrusion 16 of the lance 15. The right and left side edges of the front end of the female terminal metal fitting 21 are formed with a pair of elastic deformation parts 30 by forming slits 31, while pressing parts 33 are formed at the corresponding positions on the front wall of the cavity 11. The female terminal metal fitting 21 is inserted into the cavity 11 with bending and deforming the lance 15, and in the final stages, the pressing parts 33 abut on the elastic deformation parts 30 to elastically deform the elastic deformation parts 30. When the female metal fitting 21 is regularly inserted and the lance 15 is returned, resilience of the elastic deformation part 30 pushes back the female terminal metal fitting 21 to elastically press a locked edge 28 of the opening 27 onto a locking face 17 of the protrusion 16.
