PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interesting message display toy having superior portability and simply transmitting a message from a separate place. SOLUTION: This LED message transmission toy is so formed as to select one out of a plurality of flashing pattern information of an LED group previously registered in a recording means incorporated in a body such as an IC chip using the LED group aligned along a rod-shaped body to be held with one hand, flash the LED group in the order of an element line of the flashing pattern information by a timer circuit incorporated in the body, and display a message such as a picture or a character text as an afterimage effect by swinging the rod-shaped body to the left/right, thus providing the interesting effect.
