The diaphragm pump has a housing containing two diaphragms (4) under pressure from a piston (3) attached to a shaft and facing in different directions. The diaphragms bound two working cavities (7) with their inlets and outlets adjacent to the diaphragms and with their connections running in the interior of their common housing.
