A method for operating a vehicle for test of a railway vehicle is provided to operate the vehicle only by manipulating an operation switch without insertion of a driver key when the railway vehicle is tested. The operation of a vehicle can be divided into an operation for test of the vehicle and an operation for travel of the vehicle. If a tester manipulates an operation switch(110), the vehicle is operated and can be checked(120). Yet, the manipulation of the vehicle is not possible if a driver key is inserted(130) and a day controller is operated(140). Thereafter, only after the insertion of the driver key is performed and the day controller is operated, the manipulation of the vehicle such as acceleration and brake is possible.
