PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead console of simple structure, provided on a ceiling in a vehicle interior, having satisfactory appearance, and capable of preventing a spring from coming off, dispensing with application of grease to the spring or the like, and reducing the number of work processes for assembling a storage case in the overhead console. SOLUTION: This overhead console is provided with an energizing means for turning and energizing the storage case in the overhead console in the direction for opening it and a damper for adjusting speed for turning the storage case by energizing it by the energizing means. The energizing means and the damper are formed into an integrated unit, which is attached to an overhead console main body coaxially with a turning shaft to connect the storage case with it turnably.
