PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the clamped state of a workpiece without using an air pipe and a signal cable. SOLUTION: In this radio device for detecting a workpiece, a radio proximity sensor detecting the position of the workpiece in the state of noncontact with each other, and transmitting, by radio, a signal related to the detection, is disposed on the rotation side thereof disposed on a machining device and integrally rotated with the work during the machining. A receiving antenna receiving the signal by radio is disposed on the non-rotating portion of the machining device at a position in proximity to the radio proximity sensor.
