PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show video images from a plurality of projectors on a quadric surface screen without distortion from an optional view point.

SOLUTION: Three-dimensional restoration of test points projected from respective projectors pi to the screen is executed, integration into one coordinate system is executed, a screen shape is estimated and the position postures of the respective projectors pi are estimated. A plurality of reference virtual cameras vm for dividing and photographing the projection surface of the screen are provided, a mapping function Ψvmpi between the reference virtual camera vm and the projector pi is obtained, a view point virtual camera e is set at a position to view the screen, and a mapping function Ψevm between the view point virtual camera e and the reference virtual camera vm is obtained. Further, with the mapping function Ψvmpi, a mapping function Ψepi between the respective projectors and the view point virtual camera e is obtained and also the inverse function is obtained. The video images for which the video images of respective areas projected by the respective projectors are distortion-corrected by the inverse function of mapping are projected on the screen.
