PURPOSE: A device for manufacturing an optical fiber probe by electrochemical discharge machining and a method thereof are provided to precisely adjust the location between a processing tool and an optical fiber probe, thereby effectively controlling the processing depth and the shape of a processed object. CONSTITUTION: An alignment plate(100) can move in a 3 axial direction. A reaction bath(200) is supported by the alignment plate. An electrode is dipped in an electrolyte. The reaction bath includes the electrolyte. A processing tool(410) processes an optical fiber probe by electrochemical discharge machining. A processing tool holder(400) fixes the processing tool. A photographing unit(710) provides image signals of the processing tool and the optical fiber probe.
