PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a controlling method thereof are provided to display an event generated in an executed application and information processed by another application with the application executed by the user. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays a first application. If a certain event occurs in a first application display process, an alarm unit(153) informs the generation of a corresponding event. A control unit(180) reduces a first display area for displaying a first application according to a first user input. The control unit display a second application related to the event in a second display area generated by decreasing the first display area. |
