PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment and method for an automated and/or controlled lysis procedure of a biological sample.SOLUTION: The equipment comprises: at least one rotating disc (31); at least one drive (20) configured to rotate the rotating disc (31) and a vial holder; at least one heating device configured to heat a sample to a predetermined incubation temperature; at least one control device (70) configured to control the drive (20) and/or the heating device by means of timing and/or step control; and/or at least one transmission device configured to transmit energy to the heating device.
