The invention relates to a method for controlling a metal-cutting machining process (10) on a machine tool by means of a P–controller (20) which changes, on the basis of a control deviation (e(t)) between a control variable (y(t)) and a reference variable (w(t)), a manipulated variable (u(t)) which influences the metal-cutting machining process (10). In order to improve the control there is provision that the control factor (K) of the P–controller (20) can be varied and is determined as a function of the instantaneous value of the control variable (y(t)) by means of previously defined load characteristic diagrams (A, B, C), wherein each load characteristic diagram (A, B, C) predefines a predetermined control factor (K1, K2, K3) for a defined value or value range of the control variable (y(t)). Analogously to this, the invention also relates to a control unit for a metal-cutting machine tool, to a metal-cutting machine tool and to a method for metal-cutting machining of a workpiece. |
