PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a compression floating body type sag base isolation structure in order to maximize a base isolation period and improve base isolation performance without being dependent on a method for increasing its mass or decreasing a spring rate at a fluid compression floating body type base isolation structure.SOLUTION: In a compression floating body type sag base isolation structure, seal material enclosing a base isolation layer side surface for encapsulating fluid between a main body of a floating body structure and a flat foundation as well as a flat table is sagged in a vertical direction, and an extending piece is arranged for controlling a shape and a motion of the sagged seal material. Further, in order to keep an arc-shaped section of the seal material at a corner of the base isolation layer or a curved line part, the seal material is sagged in a horizontal direction for restricting against a resistance force generated by a lateral displacement over an entire region of the seal material. Further, in order to prevent a motion in a vertical direction, there is provided a buoyancy support for restricting buoyancy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21 |
