摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce ignition variation without increasing an input amount of energy uniformly, in an ignition device for continuing a spark discharge by providing a second circuit for electrical discharge continuation separately from a first circuit for electrical discharge start.SOLUTION: An ECU monitors path length of a spark discharge based on threshold determination, while inputting energy by a second circuit. Then, the ECU determines that ignition is delayed when the path length becomes too small, adopts a special mode for suppressing the delay of ignition, and increases a target value of an energy input amount. Thereby, the delay of ignition caused by the extension of the path length being small can be suppressed. Therefore, in an ignition device for continuing the spark discharge by providing the second circuit, ignition variation can be reduced without increasing the energy input amount uniformly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
