Composting process and assembly to prepare bio-degradable material for composting

In a process to prepare bio-degradable material for composting, the bio-degradable material is physically stabilised (6, 7) as a solid body (1) with skinned outer surfaces (3) and perforated (4). The bio-degradable material is moistened to a natural level and passed between two compressing rollers, during which process it is covered by a suitable skin. The web of bio-degradable material and skin is perforated by a punch tool and cut into sections suitable for the composting chamber in use. Also claimed are the tool and cutting assembly.
