The column includes a base area, an apron surrounding the base area, and a base stand in the base area which comprises support feed on its underside. An electric motor is fastened in the base stand, and electric installation devices are fastened to the base stand. A socket arrangement for a light is carried by the base stand. A rotating bearing arrangement includes one half provided at the base stand, and another half arranged at a revolving disk stand. The disk stand includes disks which are stored at least partially on it, and which can be moved from an operating position to an eject position. A canopy is provided on the column, which is connected during operation firmly with the disk stand and stiffens it. The disk stand includes vertically proceeding profile rails for a mounting of plastic window panes.
