ABUTMENT TOOTH AND PAIRING TOOTH FORM RECORDING MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abutment tooth and a pairing tooth form recording member capable of obtaining information on an occlusal surface when a tooth crown restoration is fabricated using a CAD/CAM system. SOLUTION: This pairing tooth form recording member is made of a two- layered structure comprising a first layer 2 and a second layer 3 both made of a thermoplastic resin material which is solid at room temperature; the first layer softened by heating is pressed against an abutment tooth 4 and fixed thereto and in that state the form of a pairing tooth 5 is recorded on the second layer by moving the pairing tooth 5 sideways and longitudinally. The softening temperature of the first layer 2 is set to be higher than the softening temperature of the second layer 3 so that when the form of the pairing tooth is acquired by the second layer, the recording member will not move.
