The cool chamber (10) for a motor vehicle is integrated into the dashboard (1) and located in direct proximity to the evaporator (4) of the vehicle's air conditioning system. The cool chamber is closed off by a cover (9) with good thermal insulating properties. The dashboard in the region of the cool chamber and evaporator is especially well thermally insulated. The boundary wall (8) of the cool chamber is constructed as a perforated bowl made of plastic or metal.
