PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet for ink jet recording capable of forming an embossed pattern of a desired shape easily and at a low cost, and a method for manufacturing the sheet. SOLUTION: A primary coat layer 3 is formed by coating a water-soluble resin composition on a base material 2 and an ink image receiving layer 4 is formed by coating the water-soluble resin composition on the upper face of the primary coat layer 3. The primary coat layer 3 is deformed ununiformly by absorbing moisture contained in the ink image receiving layer 4 using the water-soluble resin of the primary coat layer 3. Consequently, the upper face of the primary coat layer 3 is made uneven so that the printing face of the ink image receiving layer 4 is embossed. |
