A clip (1) for sealing a display panel, the clip (1) having a pair of clasping sections (5) that clasp a substrate and a gas passage tube and being composed of a pressing member (2) for pressing the pair of clasping sections in the direction in which the clasping sections approach each other and of a surface pressing member (3). The surface pressing member has a cutout that surrounds a circular tube section of the gas passage tube from three directions, and the clip (1) is attached in place so that its attitude is changeable. As a result, even if the distance between the pair of clasping sections of the pressing member varies after the gas passage tube is provisionally fixed, the clip (1) presses a flange of the gas passage tube by surface to prevent inclination and breakage of the gas passage tube.
