The method involves forming several lobes in the azimuth plane with at least one antenna, whereby the lobes overlap in pairs and radar signals are transmitted and received by separate antennas. An algorithm used to separate the signal components of the individual targets involves determining two adjacent lobes in which the largest signal amplitudes occur, determining the angular position of the respective target from the two selected signals of the adjacent lobes and processing using an ideal signal pattern. |
