SALTS OF TRIMEBUTINE AND N-DESMETHYL TRIMEBUTINE

Unique salts of trimebutine and N-monodesmethyl trimebutine, and their co rresponding stereoisomers, having improved analgesic properties useful in th e treatment of visceral pain are provided. The salts of the present inventio n are particularly useful in the treatment of conditions characterized by ab dominal pain, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and irritable bowel s yndrome (IBS), diabetic gastroparesis, and dyspepsia.
