PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a deodorant which has capability equal to that of activated carbon at a low cost. SOLUTION: The composition for deodorization contains fractions obtained from bark debris. The fraction is in a planar form having a plane stipulated by a longitudinal direction and a second direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction and thickness≤0.5 mm. On the plane, the length in the second direction is 0.01-5 mm, the length in the longitudinal direction is equal to or shorter than 10 times the length in the second direction, and the content of the bark debris other than the fractions is equal to or less than 0.3 times the content of the fractions.
