A method for preparing an artificial leather, and the artificial leather prepared by the method are provided to improve durability and heat resistance and to enhance the environmental friendliness of the manufacturing process. A method for preparing an artificial leather(10) comprises the steps of coating a chemical containing a water-soluble resin on nonwoven(11); allowing the coated chemical to be smeared into the nonwoven by pressurization; curing the chemical by UV rays; drying the chemical with a heater to form a humid layer(12); and punching a plurality of air penetration holes in the humid layer, wherein the outer surface of the humid layer is molded so as to be projected and the air penetration holes are formed at the terminal part of the triangular pattern.
