A piezoelectric actuator is provided with a piezoelectric element sheet, a first electrode mounted to the front surface of the piezoelectric element sheet, a second electrode mounted to the rear surface of the piezoelectric element sheet and facing at least a part of the first electrode, and a fixing section for supporting the piezoelectric element sheet, on which the first and second electrodes are mounted, from the front surface side and rear surface side of the piezoelectric element sheet.  Slide layers for permitting relative displacement between the piezoelectric element sheet and the fixing section are mounted respectively between the fixing section and the first electrode and between the fixing section and the second electrode.
