Disclosed is a method for controlling application of a voltage to a glow plug. According to the present invention, the method for controlling application of a voltage to a glow plug having a resistance coil and a heating coil comprises: a step of determining whether a vehicle enters idle drive; a step of using a previously stored voltage duty map to apply a voltage duty to the resistance coil when the vehicle enters idle drive; a step of measuring time during which the voltage duty is applied to the resistance coil; a step of correcting a voltage duty value applied to the resistance coil according to the time during which the voltage duty is applied to the resistance coil; and a step of applying the corrected voltage duty value to the resistance coil. |
