Disclosed are a method, apparatus and system for managing an optical network unit DPU device. The method comprises: establish a specific service bearer channel between an optical line terminal (OLT) and an optical network unit DPU; a permanent management agent (PMA) of the OLT receives a NETCONF configuration packet from a configuration server, and sends a management packet of a managed object to the DPU by means of the specific service bearer channel; terminate the specific service bearer channel by means of the OLT and an optical network unit (ONU) that is an adjacent device of the OLT, the OLT and the ONU extract the NET-CONF packet into a device management CPU, and the OLT and the ONU establish a transparent channel for bearing the NET-CONF protocol. Therefore, the problems that the optical network unit DPU device is high in management complexity and poor in extensibility are solved, the management complexity is lowered, the extensibility is improved and the maintenance cost is reduced. |
