Provided are a filter structure and a flame arrestor, which are each configured so that a radial dimension does not become large even if the flow rate of fluid is set high. A filter structure and a flame arrestor (1) are each provided with: an outer pipe (2); an inner pipe (3) provided within the outer pipe with a gap (S2) therebetween; and flame extinguishing elements (4) serving as filters and provided in through-holes (31) passing through the peripheral surface of the inner pipe. The inner pipe is connected at one end thereof in the axial direction X to the inside of the outer pipe, and the other end of the inner pipe is provided at a distance from the inside of the outer pipe. The through-holes and the flame extinguishing elements are arranged at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction of the inner pipe. Each of the flame extinguishing elements (4) is provided so as to separate the inside (S1) of the inner pipe and the gap from each other. |
