A method for treating the deep echinococcus cyst of the liver comprises the location of the cyst and transcutaneous insertion of the needle with draining tube into the cavity of the cyst under ultrasonographic control. The parasitic content is aspirated, the cystic cavity is disinfected with scolecide agents, and the drainage is fixed to the skin. Prior to disinfection, 30 % solution of iodine-containing contrasting substance is administered via the draining catheter for visualizing cystic cavity with the aid of mobile X-ray apparatus with electron-optical image converter. When the sealing of the drained cavity is proved, the contrasting agent is removed, the disinfecting agent is administered, and the draining tube is connected to the bellows. |
