PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform measurement water takeout from a midstream of an ion exchange resin layer without generating breaking or the like of a resin tower 1.SOLUTION: There is provided a softener in which raw water is introduced in the resin tower 1 of a vertical long cylindrical vessel in which an ion exchange resin is accommodated, and a hardness component in the raw water is removed by ion exchange. The softener in which a measurement water intake port 8 is disposed in an ion exchange resin layer, and a measurement water is taken out from a midstream of the ion exchange resin layer through measurement water piping 5 connected to the measurement water intake port 8, is that a hole is opened in an end plate part of a resin tower end part, the hole is closed by a disk-like flange plate 7, and the measurement water piping 5 is penetrated into the flange plate 7. Moreover, a connection hole in which the measurement water piping is penetrated into the flange plate 7 is disposed in a place that is alienated from a central axis of the flange plate 7. |
