Provided in the present invention are a terminal power-saving method and device. The method comprises: when a remote terminal is in an active state, receiving a power-saving configuration of a relay device; when the remote terminal finishes accessing to the relay device, activating a silent timer configured based on the power-saving configuration; when the remote terminal finishes communication with the relay device, updating the silent timer; when the silent timer times out, the remote terminal enters a dormant state. The present invention addresses a problem in which when a terminal performs discontinuous packet transmission the connection state maintained by the terminal results in excessive power consumption, and thereby reduces the electricity consumption of the terminal. |
