A shoulder rest (1) for a musical instrument is provided with: a belt (4) that is attached to the body of a violin (3); a first cushion member (5) freely movably attached to the belt (4) in the longitudinal direction of the belt (4); and a second cushion member (6) made to contact the first cushion member (5) on one surface and contact the shoulder of a player (2) of the violin (3) on another surface. Magnets are incorporated in inside parts within each of the first cushion member (5) and the second cushion member (6), and the first cushion member (5) and the second cushion member (6) are bonded to each other by the magnetic force of the magnets. |
