PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist separator capable of maintaining the preferable oil mist removal performance even if the flow rate of blow-by gas fluctuates as the operating condition changes.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a mist separator 2, in which after the flow of a blow-by gas 1 is squeezed at a nozzle opening 9 so as to increase the current speed, the blow-by gas 1 bypasses a baffle plate 11, and the oil mist contained in the blow-by gas 1 is moved straight by inertia during the bypassing so that the oil mist collides with the baffle plate 11 and drops into an oil drain 12, which is positioned directly beneath the baffle plate 11, to be recovered. The mist separator includes: a slide valve 13 that partially overlaps the nozzle opening part 9 to increase or decrease the opening area of the nozzle opening 9; and an actuator 14 (an operation device) that moves the slide valve 13 to an appropriate position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
