PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type compressor for improving durability of a fixed scroll member by forging a fixed scroll member and further reduce machining cost through simplification of the fixed scroll member. SOLUTION: An outer shell 3 consists of a front housing 31 and a rear housing 32, and a fixed scroll member 5 is securely nipped between the front and rear housings 31 and 32. A space between the bottom plate 51 of the fixed scroll member 5 and the front housing 31 is sealed by a sealing member 36 and a space between the bottom plate 51 of the fixed scroll member 5, and the rear housing 32 is sealed by a sealing member 37.
