PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembling and ensure sufficient airtightness by assembling a cylinder part and a valve housing with a diaphragm part interposed therebetween, and jointing and integrating the circumferential edges of connection portions of the two through welding. SOLUTION: In a diaphragm pump, the volume of a pump chamber 28 is cyclicly changed with the piston motion of a diaphragm part 15, and air flowing in a pump chamber 28 from an intake hole is increased in pressure and discharged from an exhaust hole 25 through a common chamber 29. A fusion protrusion 52 is provided at the vicinity of a cylinder part 11, while a recess 11a is formed inside of a circumferential part at which the protrusion 52 is formed. After a diaphragm body 14 is arranged in a recess 11a, so that the diaphragm part 15 is inserted into the cylinder, a valve housing is superposed and welding is made by a ultrasonic welding method utilizing the protrusion 52, whereby under the condition that the upper surface of the vicinity of the cylinder part 11 and the lower surface of the housing 20 are in mutual contact, resulting in the integration of the cylinder part with the housing being implemented.
