PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embossed decorative material showing design properties of high degree having the luster of which the strength changes partially and according to the direction of observation, as is seen on a natural wood board. SOLUTION: In a decorative material having minute indentations formed on the surface of a base, the indentations are formed of a set of minute projections 1 arranged with prescribed pitches and having light diffusion properties, and shape parameters of the projections 1, such as a rate of flatness, are changed continuously in the horizontal direction so that they correspond to a surface pattern to be expressed.
