PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a floor brush body of a vacuum cleaner having variable cleaning configurations and a simplified arrangement for stably feeding electricity to drive means. SOLUTION: A connecting pipe part 51 which communicates with a suction opening 30 in the lower surface of a case body 24 is sandwiched in place between an upper case and a lower case 21 at approximately the center of the rear of the case body 24. A joint part 72 on which one end of a communicating pipe part 73 connected to an extension pipe is freely rotationally journaled is provided with a double pipe part 104 having an inner pipe part 101 and an outer pipe part 102. The inner pipe part 101 of the double pipe part 104 is fitted into the connecting pipe part 51 and the double pipe part 104 is freely rotationally journaled on the connecting pipe part 51 within the range of half the circumference thereof. A lead wire disposed in the communicating pipe part 73 is extended from within the joint part 72 via the inner periphery of a rotating shaft 84 and passed through the wiring passage 58 of the connecting pipe part 51 via a clearance 103 in the double pipe part 104. The lead wire is connected to a circuit board 163 which, inside a circuit chamber 34 in the case body 25, connects to the electric motor of drive means 147 for driving and rotating a rotary cleaning element 130. Even a structure that can vary a cleaning configuration can be wired.
