FIELD: processes and equipment for working belt or sheet materials by compressing it between upper and lower plates. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting planar motion to worked material; compressing material at combined operation of plates at both sides relative to plane of material motion along lengthwise axis. Each plate is joined with supporting structure. One plate holds curvilinear working surface. One of plates is made according to condition of creating in it during compression stage of worked material practically one-directional elastic deformation.
