<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which permits a print layout to be flexibly changed. <P>SOLUTION: The printer permits print image data to be laid out and printed in accordance with layout definition data which defines the print layout, a layout acquisition means to acquire second layout definition data (S305 and S304) when first layout definition data is included in a printing job issued to the printer, a layout replacement means to replace the first layout definition data included in the printing job with second layout definition data (S313 and S307), an image generation means to lay out and generate printed image data in accordance with the second layout definition data replaced by the layout replacement means (S314), and a printing execution means to execute printing on the basis of printed image data generated by the image generation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
