<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate attachment/detachment and positioning of an image holding body. <P>SOLUTION: When a rocking mechanism 116 displaces developing unit holding members 50 for holding developing units 40a to 40d downward, respectively, image holding member units 38a to 38d and developing units 40a to 40d are rocked downward, up to prescribed positions by own weights. As regards each of image holding member units 38a to 38d, an image holding member 44 is rocked around a shaft part 48 from a primary transfer position where a toner image is primarily transferred to an intermediate transfer member 58, to a position for not-transfer (retreating position). As regards each of developing units 40a to 40d, a tracking roll (not shown) which is present on the same axis as a developing roll 96, is rocked about the shaft 48 from a position (development position) where the tracking roll is brought into contact with the bearing 88 of the image holding member 44 that is at the primary transfer position, to a position (non-development position) where the tracking roll is apart from the image holding member 44 that is in the retreat position with a prescribed space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
