FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: bell for muffling its own sound has a muffler made in form of a lining in contact the housing in the initial position of the striking head. The lining is mechanically joined to the striking head, providing for movement of the lining away from the housing before the head strikes the housing, thereby not disturbing sounding of the bell. After striking, the head moves away from the housing and the lining of the muffler lies on the housing and kills the sound of the bell. To make a sound, a remote controlled electromechanical actuator is used together with a hand-held striking head. ^ EFFECT: provision for required time for sounding each separate bell or an accord of bells when sounding bells of a bell-tower in which bells have different sound tones. ^ 2 dwg |
