The image display method comprises: obtaining test gray scale data for the pixel data of the test image data at multiple different preset gray scales (S201); obtaining a gray scale compensation list according to the test gray scale data and the preset gray scale data (S202); inputting initial image data (S101); converting the initial image data into processed image data (S102); conducting gray scale data compensation for the pixel data in the processed image data according to the gray scale compensation list (S103); and conducting a display operation onthe processed image data after the gray scale data compensation (S104).
