1: An organic dye having a formula (I):wherein:
X and Z, identical to or different from each other, represent a hydrogen atom; or are selected from the group consisting of: a —COOH group, a phosphonic group having a formula —PO(OH)2 or —PO(OH)(R) wherein R represents a C1-C20 alkyl group, linear or branched, a C1-C20 alkyl group, linear or branched, a saturated or unsaturated, optionally containing one or more heteroatoms, C4-C12 cycloalkyl group optionally substituted, and a carboxycyanovinylene group having a formula (II), (III), (IV), (V), (VI), (VII), (VIII), (IX), or (X): wherein R5, R6 and R7, identical to or different from each other, represent a hydrogen atom or a C1-C20 alkyl group, linear or branched; W represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; with the proviso that at least one of X and Z is not a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or a cycloalkyl group; R1 and R2, identical to or different from each other, are selected from the group consisting of: a C1-C20 alkyl group, linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, optionally containing one or more heteroatoms, a C4-C12 cycloalkyl group, optionally substituted, a C4-C11 heterocyclic group, optionally substituted, and a trialkyl- or triaryl-silyl group; R3 and R4, identical to or different from each other, represent a hydrogen atom; or are selected from the group consisting of: a C1-C20 alkyl group, linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, optionally containing one or more heteroatoms, a C4-C12 cycloalkyl group optionally substituted, a C6-C24 aryl group optionally substituted, a heteroaryl group optionally substituted, a C4-C11 heterocyclic group optionally substituted, an alkoxyl group optionally substituted, an aryloxyl group optionally substituted, a thioalkoxyl group optionally substituted, a thioaryloxyl group optionally substituted, a trialkyl- or triaryl-silyl group, and a halogen atom; or, R3 and R4 are bound to each other to form, together with the other atoms to which they are bound, a saturated, unsaturated or aromatic, cycle containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, optionally substituted with one or more C1-C20 alkyl groups, linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, optionally containing one or more heteroatoms, one or more C6-C24 aryl groups optionally substituted, one or more heteroaryl groups optionally substituted, one or more C4-C12 cycloalkyl groups optionally substituted, one or more C4-C11 heterocyclic groups optionally substituted, one or more trialkyl- or triaryl-silyl groups, one or more alkoxyl or aryloxyl groups optionally substituted, one or more thioalkoxyl or thioaryloxyl groups optionally substituted, one or more halogen atoms one or more cyano groups, or one or more nitro groups; said cycle optionally containing one or more other heteroatoms; n and p are integer numbers ranging from 0 to 3; m is an integer number ranging from 0 to 5; with the proviso that at least one of n and p is different from 0. |
